Music Player Widget
A compact player with a spinning vinyl, a dot-matrix mixer and titles that cross over between tracks.
The cover art spins as a record, easing up to speed on play and coasting down on pause. Changing track fires a quick counter-spin and crossfades the covers. Click the record and it straightens into the square album cover.
The dot-matrix beside it is two layered sine motions: each column bobs on its own delay, while each dot slides and swells through a mask. Given audio it can analyse, each column's motion scales with the energy in its own frequency band. Without that, it keeps its own time while music plays.
Titles cross over sideways in the direction you moved through the list, and a short triangle-wave blip, pitched by the bass of the track you left, marks each change. With the player focused, Space plays or pauses, the arrow keys seek, Shift and the arrows change track, and S and L toggle shuffle and loop.
